WHAT SORT OF PHOTOGRAPHY DO YOU DO?

At Cocoa & Co. we are a full-service photography company. We specialize in events (corporate, gala, trade shows, private, etc), brand (retail, products, food), and portrait (types: students, engagement), photography. Inquire here. 

WHAT ARE MINI SESSIONS?

Enjoy a preview of a full session with a Mini Session. Often Mini Sessions include 15 minutes (exact session length may vary) of time with photographer(s) at a pre-determined location(s). Mini Sessions may include deliverables like, but not limited to: a fixed number of digital photos from sessions, prints, stationery, or wall art. WHAT IF I'M LATE TO MY SCHEDULED SESSION?

Delays happen! We understand that sometimes life happens and you may arrive late or miss your scheduled session altogether. Should this happen give us a call at our Columbus Office or Newport Office, as soon as possible. We ask that you request a new date or time at least 24 hrs before the start of your session time. 

WHERE DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH? 

We are happy to go to our clients. Due to the nature of event and brand photography - our team can go where needed. For portraits, exact locations can vary depending on the client's style and preference.

WHY IS THERE A DEPOSIT OR RETAINER?

We want our focus and time to be on you! Our deposit is your way to secure your Date & Time - "Save Your Date" - on our calendar. All deposits or retainers are non-refundable. WHAT ARE LAB DAYS?

Practice time! Lab Days are predetermined dates/times in which our team will provide complimentary portrait photography services. Participants in Lab Days must be approved by our team. Lab Days are for practice, training, and guidance purposes only. Lab Days do not include any deliverables to participants. Any visuals captured during a Lab Day are ineligible for purchase, trade, or share. Participants can expect On-Site photo reviews for the expressed purpose of practice, training, and guidance. YOUR SESSION & PHOTO REVEAL...

WHAT HAPPENS DURING YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY SHOOTS?

Every session is special! You can expect our photographers to capture beautiful moments.

WHAT ARE CONSULTATIONS?

We are the ultimate storytellers! To share your story we must learn more about what you need and expect. Our consultations can be virtual or in-person. Consultations are scheduled ahead of a booked session or event with the expressed purpose of learning more from you. You can expect great conversation, quick questions, tips, and so much more. One or more consultations may be required of you ahead of your service date.

CAN I BRING AN EXTRA PERSON (TO BE PHOTOGRAPHED) WITH ME TO MY SCHEDULED SESSION?

Yes. An additional fee per person per session will be added to your package total. 

CAN I BRING PEOPLE TO MY PHOTOGRAPHY SESSION FOR SUPPORT AND TO WATCH MY SESSION? 

Only those persons in the photo shoot will be able to attend the photography session. The photography session must stay quiet and peaceful so you can relax and allow the magic of your beautiful moment to unfold. Our team has the right for any reason and at any time to request any persons to depart the service area(s). Please review your Service Agreement for more details on our Work Environment policy.

HOW LONG ARE YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY SESSIONS?

Event photography has a 3.5-hour minimum. Our brand and portrait sessions often range in time due to the various packages we offer. We focus on getting all those special moments!  

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I AM GETTING HAIR & MAKEUP DONE FOR MY PHOTO SESSION?

At Cocoa & Co. we want you to look and feel your best! Adding Hair and/or Makeup for a photo session is a wonderful way to ensure an amazing session. When getting Hair and/or Makeup your hair and face must be clean - freshly washed - and free from products. The professional hair stylist and/or makeup artist will complete your desired look. Our hair stylists and MUAs (makeup artists) are experienced professionals. Your timely arrival is expected. 

WHAT IS A VIRTUAL PHOTO REVEAL?

Following your photography session (Between 5-7 Business Days) after we've processed your best shots we invite you to your virtual photo reveal. You will receive a link via email to virtually join us to view all your Proofs with us.

DO YOU PROVIDE ONLINE CLIENT GALLERIES?

Yes. This gallery will feature your session photos. Your client gallery will be active for 7 days (including weekends) from the date the gallery link is emailed/provided.

WHAT IF I’M UNABLE TO ATTEND MY VIRTUAL PHOTO REVEAL? HOW DO I SEE MY PROOFS?

We understand. We will email your Client Proof Catalog PDF so you can then see your session photos and finalize any package deliverables.

HOW DO I SHARE MY PHOTOS WITH MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY?

Simply share your Custom Gallery link and log in (if applicable) or share the Client Proof Catalog PDF. Client Catalogs number each photo and you and your community can reference these photo numbers when ordering prints and more via our Print Lab.

CAN I ORDER MORE PRINTS, WALL ART, ETC. AT THE PHOTO REVEAL? 

Absolutely! Just let us know at your Photo Reveal what you'd like to add-on prints, wall art, etc.  


ORDERING & DELIVERY...

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET MY PORTRAIT SESSION DELIVERABLES?

Package deliverables, such as prints, wall art, etc have varying turnaround times. Please review your Service Agreement, Custom Gallery Shop, or Print Lab product details for exact turnaround times. On average, standard deliverables are received 7+ business days from the Virtual Reveal date.  

HOW DO I GET MY PORTRAIT SESSION DELIVERABLES?

Your portrait package deliverables will be mailed to you! Orders are estimated to take 2-3 business days to process (longer times during busy seasons), once complete you will receive your tracking number via text alert and/or email.

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY PRINT ORDER HAS NOT BEEN DELIVERED?

All Print Orders are mailed out with insurance and delivery confirmation.  If your package has not been delivered you must submit a "Missing Package" Report - click here to submit the report.  For all missing Print Orders, the "Missing Package" Report must be completed and submitted. Photo reprints for all packages lost or not received will take 8 to 10 weeks to be processed once the insurance claim has been filed.  

HOW MUCH TIME DO I HAVE TO SELECT THE POSES INCLUDED IN MY PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY PACKAGE?

You have 7 Days (including weekends) from the date your Client Catalog PDF is sent via email. Within 7 Days choose your final poses and prints that are included in your photography package. After 7 Days package turnaround time may be delayed. An estimated turnaround time will be calculated and communicated to you by our Customer Care team via text and/or email.

WHAT DO I DO IF MY EVENT GUESTS WANT TO GET PHOTOS?

Simply share your Custom Gallery link with all your event guests.

WHAT ARE CUSTOM GALLERIES?

Custom Galleries provide a seamless way for guests to access & download event photos. For 10 days after photo delivery, guests can enjoy downloads at NO CHARGE, eliminating the need for you to handle photo requests. After 10 days, images remain available for purchase, with each digital download including a print at NO CHARGE.

WHY DO I NEED A CUSTOM GALLERY FOR MY EVENT?

You hired a full-service photography team so we got you! We will handle all the photo requests for your guests while you focus on showing off all the amazing moments from your event!

DO CUSTOM GALLERIES EXPIRE?

Yes, after 10 days (unless otherwise noted).

WHAT IF I MISS THE FIRST 10 DAYS TO DOWNLOAD MY PHOTOS?

That’s Ok! Photos will still be available for purchase, with each digital download including a complimentary print.

ARE PHOTOS IN THE CUSTOM GALLERY FREE?

Yes! Guests can download photos at no cost for the first 10 days. After that, each digital photo is $9.95 plus tax and includes a complimentary 5x7 print. Additional prints are available through our Print Lab [link here].

CAN I ORDER CUSTOM POSTERS OR PRINT MATERIALS?

WHAT'S YOUR REFUND POLICY? 

You have 48 hrs from the date of service to request a 100% refund of your package cost. All retainers, sitting fees, and deposits are non-refundable. All refunds over $20 are processed by Corporate Check in 8-10 weeks. After 48 hours your photography package is non-refundable. To read our full Refund Policy click here. WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY BUSINESS DAYS?

We use the industry standard meaning for Business Days to mean "Monday through Friday" not including weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
